2nd Family Camp-out at Jim Hogg Park – Sat. Nov. 4 to Sun. Nov. 5
Our second family campout of the year is coming up. This will be a great time to spend time with your scout, your pack and enjoy the outdoors. All scouts and family are welcome.
Where: Jim Hogg Park, Georgetown, TX roughly 35 minutes from Summitt Elementary
When: Saturday Nov. 4th 3pm – Sunday Nov. 5th 1pm
Cost: $10 per person (children 5 and under free!)

Cool New Event: Jim Hogg Park is located off Lake Georgetown and includes hiking trails and is a great location for fishing! Those under 18 are not required to have a fishing license. For those over 18 that want to fish please check out Walmart or Academy and get a fishing license for $30.
Camp-out Notes:
- All campers (adults and children) must have a completed medical form (Parts A & B only) before they will be allowed on the campout. Please email your completed forms to austinpack90@gmail.com. Download at Required medical form
- All adults (18 yrs old and older) attending the campout must take Youth Protection Training or have proof of current Youth Protection Training. Once you have taken the training either email or print you certificate to austinpack90@gmail.com. The Youth Protection Training should only take about 25 minutes to complete. - Review our Cub Scout Camping Checklist with your scouts if you would like.
Please remember to:
- Leave your electronics at home! Scouts and youth guests are not permitted to bring electronics on camping trips. Adults please be mindful of your use of electronics, these campouts are for youth and adults to interact with one another and share in the camaraderie of others.
- We practice “green dining” so please bring your own cup, plate, bowl, and utensils
Important Inks Lake Information:
- Parking is available at the campsite with up to 2 cars per site. Additional parking is available in lots nearby.
- The only place a ground fire is allowed are in the campfire rings. If you have a fire in this ring, please make sure it is cold to the touch when done.
- Close-toed shoes are required in camp.
- Do not leave trash in the campsites. Dispose all trash in the appropriate dumpsters in the park.
- All running water on camp is potable and safe to drink.
