Moms, let’s go camping with the boys!

Saturday, April 24th.  Mc Kinney Falls State Park (only 30 minutes away). Enjoy your Mother/Son quality time on Saturday with a guided nature hike and a little fishing (poles available at the park).  We will camp over night and enjoy activities and a campfire.  Fees are $15 for mom and $10 for your cub scout.  Please let us know if you plan to attend by e-mailing our coordinator –  Teri Piersall piersall@flash.net

SATURDAY SCHEDULE:

8:45 am          Meet at Summitt Elementary,transfer bag lunches to a cooler

9:00 am          Depart for McKinney Falls State Park

10:00 am         Guide Nature Tour begins at Smith Visitor’s Center

11:30 am         Find a spot for picnic lunch / ice breaker activity

12:30 pm         go to Youth Group Area to set up tents

Free time for fishing, hiking, biking, etc.

2:00 pm           Snacks, Kickball, Frisbee, 3-leg races

3:00 pm           Activity 1- prepare skits for campfire

4:00 pm           Fishing Demonstration

5:00 pm           Activity 2 – craft led by Ginger Garana

Dinner prep

6:00 pm           Dinner

Cleanup

7:00 pm           Activity 3 – led by Trish Estrada

Campfire , s’mores, skits, songs

9:00 pm           off to bed

9:00 am           free time

11:00 am         break camp
