Fall Family Campout Sept 22 – Camp Mabry
It’s just about time for our Fall Family Campout. This is an excellent opportunity to spend quality time with your scout, enjoy the great outdoors, and join in the fellowship of the pack.
- Where: Camp Mabry “Pond Picnic Area”, 2200 W. 35th St., Austin, TX – Download directions
- When: Saturday, Sept 22nd 1pm – Sunday, Sept 23rd 10am
- Cost: $10 per person (Children 5 and under are free)

On Saturday afternoon (time TBD) we will be visiting the Texas Military Museum on-site that’s just a short walk from our campsite.
Important Camp Mabry Information
- A valid photo I.D. for all adults is required for entry onto Camp Mabry!!!
- Fishing is permitted in the Pond Picnic Area. Children under 12 are not required to possess a fishing license; adults must possess a valid Camp Mabry Fishing Permit, which costs $15 per adult and requires an unexpired fishing license. Fishing permits are obtained at Camp Mabry Garrison Command BLDG 64 Mon-Fri 0800-1600
Campout Notes
- Review our Cub Scout Camping Checklist with your scouts.
- All campers (adults and children) must have a completed medical form (Parts A & B only) before they will be allowed on the campout. Please email your completed forms to Gregory Stewart. Download at Required medical form
- All adults (18yrs old and older) attending the campout must take Youth Protection Training or have proof of current Youth Protection Training. Once you have taken the training either email or print your certificate to Gregory Stewart. The Youth Protection Training should only take about 25 minutes to complete. - Leave your electronics at home! Scouts and youth guests are not permitted to bring electronics on camping trips. Adults, please be mindful of your use of electronics, these campouts are for youth and adults to interact with one another and share in the camaraderie of others.
- We practice “green dining” so please bring your own cup, plate, bowl, and utensils
