Father and Son Campout Itinerary

Our trip on Saturday is to the Lazy L&L Campground in New Braunfels on the banks of the Guadalupe River (http://www.lazylandl.com/index.php).  The river should be pretty exciting to look at after all this rain, but we won’t be able to do any tubing or boating.  Scouting rules prohibit us from taking cub scouts on boats.  Sorry, everyone.  Also, everyone needs to keep a close eye on his scout during this trip since we will be camping near a pretty active river.  We’ll discuss the buddy system early and often.

If anyone wants to fish, you should have the opportunity to do that.  Please remember that any child under 17 can fish without a fishing license, but any dads that want to fish need to have a license.

The weather will be pretty cool in the morning on Sunday (low 50s), so be prepared with warm clothes and layers.  Sleeping bags are highly encouraged.  If anyone needs camping gear, please contact me so we can find what you need.
