Caveman Dinner – a messy good time!(Please read the comments)

Wow!  Thanks to Russell and Tate (and Sherry) for a great time today at the Caveman Dinner!  Scouts who sold over $150 in popcorn were treated to salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and worm-filled mud for dessert.  The food fight was a bonus!  KEEP SELLING THAT POPCORN!  pics – http://home.roadrunner.com/~ruswat/caveman.htm

Scouts who sell at least $150 of popcorn are invited to the Caveman Dinner.  Find us at the Summitt Elementary basketball court by the playground at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4th.   Check the popcorn flier for details.  Come prepared to get covered with food!  The boys will eat dinner with their hands, and we promise it will be something messy,  fun and tasty!

We had a BLAST today! 14 scouts showed up, got messy, and got hosed down. Their running total sales were just shy of $4000 – and we still have 2 weeks to go!
Remember that next weekend is the family campout at the zoo, so get busy selling during the week!
Our top seller so far is a Wolf named Brett – who has sold over $613 already – and that’s not even including his online sales! Plus, he’s already filled a form, so he’s the first scout to earn the “Bow and Mallow” and be entered into the Capitol Area Council’s drawing for a Wii. Way to go Brett, and keep on selling! And way to go all the other scouts, who showed that we’re well on our way to our $10,000 goal (and the $15,000 goal to shave my head!).
    Sell that popcorn!

Many thanks to THE KERNEL and all others who helped make the Caveman Dinner a hit. I can only hope that our young Cave Scouts will spread the news selling popcorn is a way to have fun and help the pack.
